    First game!

Sciisoft has produced the first game of the team. The name of the game is Puzzlenator. This is a Puzzle game, in the style of Sokoban. You have to push boxes to the marked places. This requires to put your brain at work. This is a tactical game so you may spend some time on it.

Now that Sciisoft, has got the first member, we will start thinking at a project. Also there are still slots for new members i n the team so you could check out. More news soon after we will decide on what our work will be.

    Powerball!

Remember that old puzzle game, Labyrinth? I used to LOVE that game! Well, “Zaiib” clearly shares my passion, since he has made a version for the PC!

Ok, so there’s lots of games like this… right? Wrong.

    powerball1

Powerball is a puzzle game where you have to tip a board in order to bring a ball into the target. On the way you can collect Items like coins, beam, switches (which open you doors to more coins). It’s based on the Ogre 3D Engine and was created during a University Project.

It supports Webcams (put a real board in front and move it) and Stereo view.

Sorry, what? It supports webcams?! I was ready to download and experiment with this awesome feature, but then I read -

“You have to compile it to install it on Linux”.

:| I really wanted to play this game, yet I don’t have Linux any more (though it’s tempting to get it again)! But… do you run Linux? If you do, please let us know how this game plays, because it sounds totally awesome and looks the part too ^_^ This game is also open-source.

    Mr Robot!

When I first caught a glimpse of this game from a screenshot, I knew I’d love it. The cuteness of the graphics and awesome lighting effects were enough for me… but no, there’s actual gameplay too! Better still - it doesn’t lack in that department, either.

Asimov is a lowly service mechanoid aboard the interstellar colony ship Eidolon. Carrying hundreds of frozen human colonists to a new world. When the Eidolon’s computer brain malfunctions, it falls to Asimov to undertake a perilous journey through the bowels of the massive ship to save his robot friends and the precious human cargo. Solve puzzles. Overcome obstacles. Hack hostile networks. Evade crazed robots. Save the mission.

    Floating Islands Game

Floating Islands Game, or “FIG”, is a very stylish and very well-built game being produced by Hempuli. The game itself has a lot of charm. FIG is a puzzle / strategy game, boasting over 30 levels and 5 secret levels and its gameplay only requires you use the mouse! Why? This game is inspired from games like ‘Lemmings’ and the infamous flash game, ‘Hapland’.

Aid the man from one side to the other. Simple eh? Ohhh no. Of course not :) The levels feature so many various ways of saving and killing the little dude, ranging from watering cans, to vicious dogs, to laser beams! But nothing says more than a video, so I’ll do something a little out-of-the-ordinary and post this youtube trailer xD

Keep up the excellent work Hempuli! I’m looking forward to this one..!! Find more information on FIG, right here.

    Yore RLY?

Recently, Johan from Crobasoft release a thrilling little game called The Yore.

    yore3yore2yore1

Unfortunately though, the game seemed to be somewhat over-looked. At first it does sound quite bland and predictable…

“You wake up in a room you’ve never seen before by a scream. Why are you here? Where is your friend? What secrets lie within this old house? There’s a creepy feeling about it, and you must find your friend and get out before anything bad happens!

In The Yore you play as either Colin or Amy who are trapped inside a house they don’t recognize. Solve mysteries and find specific items to progress and uncover the secrets behind the house.”

Typically, this wouldn’t have appealed to me as this isn’t really my kind of game, but there was a certain charm about this one that had me wanting to complete it ^_^ The soundtrack and graphics in this game are remarkable and suit the game perfectly! It was actually very atmospheric and very well put-together!

If you haven’t played this game yet, check it out! Find the trailer and more information here - don’t forget to download version 1.1!
