NeoMonkey’s new mr.MapMaker version (2.4)
Yep it’s finally here. My new almost bug free version of mr.MapMaker. Compared to the version (2.3), the new version has totally different part 2. It looks same and works better, but it is almost totally changed. The new version can be downloaded from here.
http://www.create-games.com/download.asp?id=7422
Mr. MapMaker is tile-based level editor, which is created, so everyone can make easily tile-based levels to many different coding languages and click products. The application makes 2 files: a picture files and an array files, which can be used to create maps.
Also I have support in the project forums of my new future version 2.5. There you can ask if you are uncertain how to do something.

Have a nice day guys!

Out of the Cave for Music!
Sciisoft, is releasing today, the first project of the team.
The name is Cave Music, and it’s a music player software. This is the first version of it, you can call it a demo alos, so it doesn’t have so much features in it, but it’s still nice. This has some features, like play/pause/stop/open music files like MP3’s, WAV’s and so on. It’s able to auto-save the items in the playlist, and also you can delete them by selecting an item, then pressing Del.
Thanks also, for our newest member, Leighton James, for helping Sciisoft to develop this first version of Cave Music.

You can download Cave Music from here.
Thank you all and thank you Toastface!

Barren - A freeware 2D point and click adventure game
Barren is classic point and click adventure game played through the eyes of the player (scene by scene movement) released few days ago. The story is placed in a SF-phantasmagoria type of setting where you play a person of unknown origin stranded in a strange dreamlike place. It’s a relatively short adventure game, but features a fair of amount of cut scenes and cool atmosphere.
Download (Windows): Barren_v11.zip (16.6 MB)
Linux executables (you might have problems setting up FMOD there): Barren_Linux_EXEs.tar.gz
The project was started long time ago during 2002 (as a QB program) without a clear goal, which resulted in several aspect of the game being quite clumsy. The source code passed through several overhauls, and the final version of the scripting system was a nightmare to manage. Nevertheless, somehow the game got completed.
Visit my website for more details.
Thank you for downloading.

Want to be a Gymnast?
Enjoy the things, your body won’t do, virtually!
A developer, that as far as I can tell goes by the name of walaber, has created and released a game that allows you to be a gymnast in his cleverly titled game Gymnast. In Gymnast you play the role of exactly that and you control it with a dual analog controller in the assumption that you have one. It’s quite addicting and enjoyable, the novelty of the thing is one of its greatest feats.
Gymnast is a physics-based acrobatic game with 100% analog controls. The game makes use of a modern gamepad, using the analog thumbsticks to give 1-to-1 control over the joints on a gymnast character.

Noitu Love 2
The day has finally arrived! Noitu Love 2 is here and ready to be purchased!
Konjak has just released his masterpiece in 0.9a - as there might still be some bugs - along with an extended demo version which I intend to try out as soon as I have the spare time, then I need to get enough money together to buy a copy of the full game!
Even if you don’t think Konjak should be selling his games visit the site here and get the demo anyway, just so as to marvel at the level of excellence achieved in this game.
Bye!

Syndicate
ChrisD has just released an early beta of his online text based rpg game named ‘Syndicate’!
The concept behind the game is an online, text based crime game. You can join or start your very own mafia families and possibly reenact scenes from “The Godfather” if your heart so desires.
The aim of the game is whatever you want it to be. Some people will set out aiming to becoming a don and running their own crime family, while others might want work in the police force. Some will choose to become hit men or contract killers, businessmen, thieves, vandals, or drug barons- there are many possibilities, it depends on how you play the game. Whatever you choose though, you’ll need to start earning some money.
In it, players can chat, fight, shoot, rob, train, vandalize, create and join crime families, build, buy and maintain buisnesses (bars, casinos, diners, gyms, gun stores etc), grow, process and deal drugs, and a whole bunch of other shenanigans.
The game looks very interesting, none of your generic platformer action here! For more information and a download link visit the official site/forum here.

TAGAP - The Apocalyptic Game About Penguins
To continue on the theme of awesomeness I bring you TAGAP - or The Apocalyptic Game About Penguins.
Turn the experimental drugs against you enemies; Become over-the-top, feel invincible and perform unnatural agility. Side effects do occur, shifting tempo and intensity of reality from high-speed to slowmotion – and back!
Sounds good to me! If you like the sound of it too, visit the official site here.

Link’s Techno Dance
Whilst technically not being a game, this screensaver looks to be fairly awesome.
From the author:
This is screensaver, where link shows the newest techno move on the market…
You can tell just by the broken grammar and poor sentence structure - that it is going to be good. Get it here.

Bontãgo
This game developed by Juniors at DigiPen Institute of Technology, looks very unique and very cool!
“Bontago is an intense single or multiplayer 3d real-time strategy game. Players begin with flags (one color for each player) spaced evenly around the edge of a large disk, called the field, balanced on a fulcrum in the center. Around each flag is a circle representing that player’s controlled area. Every few seconds a block appears on each player’s cursor. The players must place the blocks somewhere in their controlled areas. Players can place the block at any moment in the allotted time, or can hold it until time is up and the block will fall on its own and be replaced by the next block. The goal of the game is to encompass all of the world flags in the controlled area.
Although the rules are simple, strategic thinking, quick reflexes, and a bit of luck is required to win this game.“
Sounds like fun, doesn’t it
Download the game here. Their site seems to be down, now and then, so if you can’t download it try again later.

Harvest: Massive Encounter
This amazing-looking game, courtesy of Oxeye Games, is worth all of the hype it is getting. The guys over at Oxeye certainly know the niche in the games market - bringing us an outstanding Real-Time Strategy (RTS).
You must build your base, gather resources and fend off endless hordes of aliens. The game uses a highly optimized engine perfectly suited for epic battles with literally thousands of enemies!
But like with any RTS, there’s more to it than that! There’s a complete storyline to it and many more in-depth details about various enemies and their attributes and weaknesses. Being a full-fledged RTS, you’d expect a price-tag, and that’s unfortunately what you get. However, you may download the demo to ‘wet your appetite’, or find out how the game plays, right here.
